Nathan Livers is the proud owner of a new Vessel Mandolin and is now endorsing these fine instruments. Crafted by Gary Vessel of Thomas and Vessel Stringed Instruments in Turlock, California, Livers has been a fan of these mandolins for some time and approached Vessel about building one specifically for him. “The freedom he gave me to build my instrument was very big,” states Gary Vessel. “For a builder, the goal is to have your instruments in the hands of the finest players and enthusiasts one can find. That is not ever easy to do and sometimes it never happens. I couldn’t be happier to have a Vessel mandolin in the hands of such an incredible musician as Nathan Livers, not to mention a band as wonderful as Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper. The association with such a collection of talent is a dream come true.”
Nathan Livers is equally pleased with the new relationship. “Vessel mandolins have the tone, clarity, sustain, volume and build quality that I’ve been searching for all my musical life,” remarks Livers. “Gary Vessel has mastered that elusive 1920s sound and they are truly inspiring mandolins to play. I can’t put mine down!”
